The University Library is UiNs major provider of information resources and services to assist you in completing your studies here in Norway.  UBiN operates from three locations: the main library in Bodø as well as branches in Stokmarknes and Mo i Rana.

The Library has access to more than 50,000 e-books and around 17,000 electronic periodicals, all available through a broad selection of databases.  You can access these resources on any of the library's computers, or via your laptop on our free wireless internet.  To access all of these resources at home, you can log on via our passwordlist found on our website.

The library collection includes 90,000 volumes of books and periodicals.  These are searchable through Bibsys, an integrated catalogue of Norwegian research libraries.  As a user of our library, you also have access via Bibsys to resources from around the country

UBiN can help you learn how to navigate the physical library, use Bibsys and search in our databases.  Library staff run orientation courses each semester.  Staff located at the Library Information Desk are happy to help you arrange a tour or research skills and training session.  You can also contact us via our web profiles.

We wish you all the best here at UiN and look forward to assisting you in your studies.
